Hearing Start Time: 8:07 AM Court noted the presence of counsel and stated the defendant is present in custody.

Ms. Taylor stated that the defendant is prepared to waive his right to a speedy preliminary hearing, and stated that the defendant is requested a preliminary hearing at the end of June.

Ms. Taylor requested at least 4 or 5 days for the preliminary hearing.

Mr. Thompson stated that for the State's calendar July would work better, but could make it work with June.

Court stated that the Court's calendar would be better for the end of June.

Court advised the defendant of the rights he is waiving upon waiving his right to have a speedy preliminary hearing. Defendant understood. In response to inquiry from the Court, the defendant stated that he did not need any additional time to speak with Ms. Taylor regarding his waiver.

Defendant waived his right to have a speedy preliminary hearing. Ms. Taylor agreed with the waiver. Court found the defendant's waiver of speedy preliminary hearing was knowingly, intelligently and voluntarily given in open Court with the assistance of Counsel. Court accepted the defendant's waiver.

Court set this case for preliminary hearing on June 26, 2023 at 9:00 AM, and will reserve the entire week. Court stated that the hearings will begin at 9:00 AM each day.

Court remanded the defendant to the custody of the Latah County Sheriff without bail.
