ORDER AMENDING ORDER OF RESTITUTION BRYAN C. KOHBERGER, Defendant. Before the Court is the State's motion to amend the August 28, 2025 Order of Restitution in favor of Jeffrey Kirk Kernodle in the amount of $ 8843.03. Specifically, the State seeks to substitute Mr. Kernodle with the Crime Victims Compensation Program as the judgment creditor for $ 5000, which represents the amounts paid by Program to Mr. Kernodle. Mr. Kernodle would remain the judgment creditor for $ 3843.03. Defendant does not object, but questions the Court's jurisdiction to amend restitution orders after restitution has closed. Because the requested amendment only substitutes the judgment creditor and does not alter Defendant's restitution obligations, it does not run afoul of I.C. § 19-5304. Further, based on the State's showing, the Court finds the requested amendment appropriate. The State shall submit a proposed Amended Order of Restitution reflecting the amendment.
