I saw the hair in the drain, so we documented it and collected it. If any of us had found anything of interest in any of the other sinks, we would have documented and collected those as well. We did test red / brown stains in the kitchen in the area of the sink, but I think most of them were presumptive negative. Any stains in the apartment that were presumptive positive were collected. In the kitchen, we definitely did not pull apart the pipes under the sink (U-trap). But the sink itself was examined. I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need any more information. The FES staff will then log the items in to evidence for the designated case. Please make both agencies aware of this arrangement. Because this particular case has been completely removed from prelog the agency will not have visibility to the evidence until it is returned to their custody at the completion of analysis.
