SPEAKER_00: So we have been asked by Moscow PD to talk to some of the students that have come all the way down here. SPEAKER_00: And, obviously, you know, this is regarding the incident that happened this weekend. SPEAKER_01: Mhmm. SPEAKER_00: So if you could maybe start out by telling us, you know, are you living down here? SPEAKER_00: Do you live up there? SPEAKER_00: Are you in a sorority? SPEAKER_00: You know, that sort of thing. SPEAKER_00: How do you know the people that were involved in that? SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: Absolutely. SPEAKER_02: I was raised My family house is here. SPEAKER_02: I'm a part of the sorority up there. SPEAKER_02: And I met Xana and Ethan through Ethan's a Sigma Chi. SPEAKER_02: And my best friend So we got really close, like, through all their events and everything. SPEAKER_02: And I have a lot of high school friends that are also Sigma Chi's, so it was just, like, a natural, you know, draw towards the house. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_02: I met Xana the night a night at Sigma Kai actually in an apartment party. SPEAKER_02: It's kinda like how I got to know, like, the whole friend group. SPEAKER_02: I wasn't very close with Maddie or Kaylee that well. SPEAKER_00: But Okay. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: I met Maddie at a tailgate actually recently Just you know, she came up to me actually, and she was like, hey. SPEAKER_02: Like, I you know, I've seen you around. SPEAKER_02: Just wanted to introduce myself. SPEAKER_02: Like, we never got that formal introduction. SPEAKER_02: And I was like, oh, it's so nice to meet you. SPEAKER_02: But that was as far as SPEAKER_00: So it was mostly Xana? SPEAKER_02: Xana and Ethan. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_02: That I knew. SPEAKER_00: And how long had you known them? SPEAKER_02: Freshman year. SPEAKER_02: So guess a year and a half now. SPEAKER_02: And you're SPEAKER_00: right now? SPEAKER_02: I'm a technically SPEAKER_00: So where do you live up at school? SPEAKER_02: I live in the sorority. SPEAKER_00: How far away is that? SPEAKER_00: Had you ever been over to their house visiting? SPEAKER_02: I haven't been to their new house, unfortunately. SPEAKER_02: We were supposed to SPEAKER_01: all hang out from them out, SPEAKER_02: but, yeah, I haven't been to their new one. SPEAKER_02: I was at their old house last year. SPEAKER_02: It's called and it was it's in SPEAKER_01: that map. SPEAKER_01: It's, like, right SPEAKER_02: next door to Xana's new place. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: So you've never been to the house. SPEAKER_00: How often did you talk to to Xana? SPEAKER_02: I had, like, Sigma Chi when we were there. SPEAKER_02: So, uh, just kinda, like, through passing and I actually, like, last saw the two of them, but I don't know, like, how often. SPEAKER_02: I was like we always kept in touch too. SPEAKER_02: So I was mainly close friend was the person that I was really close with in the friend group. SPEAKER_02: But SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Had you been so we got an email that said something about you had seen it's this is coming from the Moscow guys, that you had seen a couple guys with Kaylee. SPEAKER_00: And did you see something that evening on on Saturday night or some morning? SPEAKER_02: See them. SPEAKER_02: I, um, saw the video of them going to Grab Truck. SPEAKER_02: I saw Xana and Ethan that night. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: So you just saw that streaming SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: That stream. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: I didn't see Maddie or Kayla at all that night. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: So But you were hanging out SPEAKER_01: with Xana and Ethan that night? SPEAKER_01: Mhmm. SPEAKER_01: Where were you guys hanging out at? SPEAKER_02: Sigma Chi. SPEAKER_02: They were having a lodge party, and I specifically saw them in SPEAKER_01: So SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Had they ever had she ever said anything about, like, there were issues with, you know, people bugging them or following any of them or any sort of things like that, any sort of stalking incidents or No. SPEAKER_00: Creeping them out or SPEAKER_02: nothing like that? SPEAKER_02: No. SPEAKER_02: In fact, I felt like I heard the opposite from her, which is, like, the more that she, like, felt safe. SPEAKER_02: But SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Can you think of anybody so you'd never been to the house before. SPEAKER_00: Um, can you think of anybody that we maybe need to talk to that that might have some good information on what SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: May have happened? SPEAKER_02: We're at Grab Truck driving the girls. SPEAKER_02: I'll the SPEAKER_00: those around the SPEAKER_01: So were they the ones who gave those guys a ride home that night? SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: That's what I I SPEAKER_02: mean, that's what I've been told. SPEAKER_02: Right? SPEAKER_02: I wasn't there. SPEAKER_02: So Okay. SPEAKER_00: I think we have those names on that email. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: And I think we gave it there was a phone call earlier this morning, I think we gave their phone numbers and everything. SPEAKER_02: So yeah, I was with Xana until 2AM. SPEAKER_02: Actually, I have a picture of her the last time I SPEAKER_00: took her. SPEAKER_00: So what did those two guys do? SPEAKER_00: Who did they give a ride to? SPEAKER_02: They gave a ride to Maddie and Kaylee, and they were the so they took them to grub truck and then back home. SPEAKER_00: From the corner club? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: To the grub truck? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_02: It's more walking distance, but I don't know, I guess, if they went and picked them up at the corner club. SPEAKER_01: I don't SPEAKER_02: know Do SPEAKER_00: you know if anybody else was with them when they came from the corner club? SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm. SPEAKER_00: You you just haven't heard? SPEAKER_00: Or No. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: You don't know for certain? SPEAKER_02: No. SPEAKER_02: I mean, when I was there that night, I was I was honestly just with Maddie and or Maddie, Xana, Ethan. SPEAKER_00: So they they caught a ride from the corner club over to the grub truck. SPEAKER_00: They didn't walk. SPEAKER_02: I have no idea. SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: I really I I don't know SPEAKER_01: the clue. SPEAKER_01: A 100%. SPEAKER_01: So you were with Xana and Ethan till about 2AM? SPEAKER_01: Mhmm. SPEAKER_01: And then is that when they left and went home, or is that when you left? SPEAKER_02: When I left and went home. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: I walked. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Do you guys text anymore that night? SPEAKER_01: I mean, do have an idea of what time she left or anything like that? SPEAKER_02: No idea. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Mm-mm. SPEAKER_01: We've heard we've heard kind of some stuff back and forth, and trying to be sensitive. SPEAKER_01: But Yeah. SPEAKER_01: No. SPEAKER_01: It doesn't really matter as far as, you know, no one's in trouble for this part of it. SPEAKER_01: But but we've heard that maybe Xana used there's a little bit of drug use, just recreational, just some do you know what kind of stuff she did? SPEAKER_02: I know she baked. SPEAKER_02: I don't know, like, any hard drugs she did. SPEAKER_02: I don't do any, so I kinda just turn a blind eye to that kind of stuff. SPEAKER_02: Okay. SPEAKER_02: I mean, it wouldn't have surprised me if she, like, did anything like that. SPEAKER_02: That's why, like, yeah. SPEAKER_01: She kinda was a like to like to party, was outgoing, that SPEAKER_02: kind of stuff like SPEAKER_01: Like, to have a good time? SPEAKER_02: Okay. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: Ethan too. SPEAKER_00: So how long had she been dating Ethan? SPEAKER_02: They started dating half second semester around that time. SPEAKER_02: I don't know the exact, like, month. SPEAKER_00: So maybe about a year? SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Did she have a boyfriend be before that? SPEAKER_02: Not that I was aware of. SPEAKER_02: I mean, I everyone, you know, has, like, a crush on Xana, but, no, I don't think she didn't have a boyfriend before that. SPEAKER_02: No. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Is there anything you can think of that, you know, may be able to help us with this case? SPEAKER_00: Anything you've heard? SPEAKER_02: The only thing is, like, to talk to because it sounded like the video the the food truck video had that one guy in it, and there were sigmatized there. SPEAKER_02: It's, like, to really talk to them and because they were pretty close. SPEAKER_02: They were talking. SPEAKER_02: So the guy that we were all, like, kinda, like, suspecting at first that was, like, watching the two girls Mhmm. SPEAKER_02: Was talking to a bigger man, and the Sigma Kis were talking to that bigger man there for me. SPEAKER_00: Is that the one that he, like, went and bro hug type thing? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_00: I know what you're talking about. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: I mean, I can yeah. SPEAKER_01: I'll show you in a bit. SPEAKER_01: So I could tell you the the original guy that people were suspecting, we've we've talked to him, and he's been very cooperative and all that stuff. SPEAKER_01: And so really good to hear, actually. SPEAKER_01: It's obviously a little tricky because I know in all the group chats, there's a lot of conjecture and rumors going around. SPEAKER_01: Mhmm. SPEAKER_01: Is there anything coming up in those that kinda seem legitimate that that could be you you know what SPEAKER_00: I mean? SPEAKER_00: How some of SPEAKER_01: it, you're clearly like, oh, people are just guessing. SPEAKER_02: Right. SPEAKER_01: And then sometimes you somebody might say something. SPEAKER_01: You're like, oh, you kinda know a little more than maybe other people do or than the news has put out on on some of this stuff. SPEAKER_02: Well, it's really good to hear that one guy has been, like, cooperating because that has been, like, my biggest red flag is because when they cut through, he kinda followed, right, and he went around the place that they were walking through. SPEAKER_00: So Yeah. SPEAKER_00: He was the SPEAKER_01: he was the SPEAKER_00: number one guy that we talked to. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: Which is great. SPEAKER_02: And that's, I think, the only thing that I was ever you know, a SPEAKER_01: red flag went up in my head. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: Know I've heard from people that Kaylee had, like, a stalker at some points and that I don't know SPEAKER_01: if you guys have dealt with SPEAKER_02: that or anything, but that's as far as that. SPEAKER_02: It's it's far inside SPEAKER_01: now. SPEAKER_01: Right? SPEAKER_00: Hand type stuff. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: So just I mean, looking for a phone.
