SPEAKER_00: But basically, we we have quite a bit of information on the tip that you left, page out here, but we just kinda wanted to talk with you in person and maybe fill in some of the details that whoever took the actual or actually typed this up, you know what I mean, make sure we're not missing anything.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Matt, if you want to.
SPEAKER_02: Okay, are you there?
SPEAKER_01: Yes I am.
SPEAKER_02: Hey, my name is Matt, like you said.

SPEAKER_02: Can I first get some information from you though?
SPEAKER_02: Is this your cell phone?
SPEAKER_01: Uh, yeah, it is.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.

SPEAKER_01: And then I've always known her through and which is one of our other really good friends.
SPEAKER_01: And then they started living with each other, and I would just go over quite a bit, and that's how we got a lot more closer.
SPEAKER_01: Was here.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: So when you say rush group, is that for?
SPEAKER_01: Rush group is just like formal recruitment, like choosing what house you're gonna be in, like that whole process.
SPEAKER_02: Gotcha.
SPEAKER_02: Well I'm pretty ignorant to some of that, so I'm probably gonna have a lot of questions about that.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Just to pre warn you, okay.
SPEAKER_02: And you were in the same group, and I'm taking some notes here so forgive me, you've to have a little bit of patience.
SPEAKER_01: No, you're fine.
SPEAKER_02: Alright.
SPEAKER_02: So I'm trying to write as fast as you talk.
SPEAKER_02: So know that in the same rush group, you're deciding, you know, which which house you're gonna go to, and then how did come in on that?
SPEAKER_01: After it was, like, probably, like, a couple of months after they joined and I quite a bit.
SPEAKER_01: And then once they once moved in to the same apartment with all of them, um, that's where I felt a lot more and, like, considered her, like, a friend.

SPEAKER_02: Now let's talk about some of the information that you had of that night.
SPEAKER_02: And I don't We can go over some stuff that you gave as a tip, but I'd rather you just recall it from your own memory, and then if I have a question I'll ask you about it.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: So if you start from like, from there, Jane, or whenever, I can go.
SPEAKER_02: So I would just say, can you give me the twenty four hours, listen, give me all of your Saturday, like what you had going on, and then, um, we'll work up all the way through Saturday.

SPEAKER_02: So is that Yeah.
SPEAKER_02: So is a female or a male?
SPEAKER_01: She's a female.

SPEAKER_02: We so just so you're aware, Cody and I, we are not out to get anybody, and we are not out to, like, dig dirt and and punish for honesty.
SPEAKER_02: Honestly, if if you're underage drinking, we do not care at all.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: That's not we are not worried about any of that.
SPEAKER_02: That is very insignificant.
SPEAKER_00: Or drug use, stuff like that.
SPEAKER_02: We don't care.
SPEAKER_02: All we're trying to do is find out exactly what happened in that timeline.
SPEAKER_02: So do not feel that you I understand, you know, we're the cops and you probably don't want to share a ton of stuff and that's fine, but what we're trying to do is so much bigger than MIP or a drug charge or anything like that.
SPEAKER_02: Our plans are to not, you know, criminalize honesty at this point.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: So please, please feel free to tell us exactly.
SPEAKER_02: So and I'm not saying you're lying.
SPEAKER_02: I'm just saying don't feel like you have to cover for people.
SPEAKER_02: Some of some of the stuff we're already gonna know.
SPEAKER_02: So just be as honest as be as brutally honest as you can.
SPEAKER_02: Okay?
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: So so again, how was how was
SPEAKER_01: eight?
SPEAKER_01: She wasn't like I like she wasn't I could she might have been, like, tipsy, like, might have been tipsy, but she wasn't, like, bad at all or Okay.

SPEAKER_01: Oh, no.
SPEAKER_02: Couldn't take care of herself, walking home was a bad idea, anything like that?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: No.
SPEAKER_01: She was completely fine.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: And how how was your mental state?
SPEAKER_02: Were you
SPEAKER_01: For me, I was very sober until I got and that's like before shift, like, after shift left, just when I started drinking.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
SPEAKER_02: No problem.
SPEAKER_02: Alright.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: So now that we got that out of the way, just wanna make sure so she she's pretty sober, walks home, and then what?
SPEAKER_01: I stayed at till about 03:30.
SPEAKER_01: And then
SPEAKER_02: And see Real quick.

SPEAKER_02: you don't have his number?
SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Any other names sticking out to you that were there?

SPEAKER_01: I think she's with her boyfriend a lot.
SPEAKER_02: Got it.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Now that we know who you're there with, kind of describe already walked home.
SPEAKER_02: Now pick up where you left off.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: So we just kind of played drinking games, and then we're all just chilling.
SPEAKER_01: It wasn't like a party.
SPEAKER_01: Was like, mom and could kick back.
SPEAKER_01: And then at around 03:30, we and walked home, but was finished for the night.
