SPEAKER_00: And we are interviewing.
SPEAKER_00: If you could spell your first and last name.
SPEAKER_01: Mhmm.
SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
SPEAKER_00: What's your date of birth?
SPEAKER_00: So as you already know, this interview is in regards to the event that happened in Moscow on Saturday night, Sunday morning.
SPEAKER_00: We'll we'll just have you kind of walk through your evening and any interactions that you had with the the victims that night.
SPEAKER_00: So start wherever you want to, wherever you feel is pertinent or anything like that.
SPEAKER_00: And then like I said, we can get into more directed questions in a bit.
SPEAKER_01: So I was at I call him everyone.
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
SPEAKER_01: But
SPEAKER_00: now.
SPEAKER_00: That's you can call him whatever you want.
SPEAKER_01: And we were upstairs, and all the boys were watching football games, sports.
SPEAKER_01: I maybe the WWE.
SPEAKER_01: I think that was it.
SPEAKER_01: No.
SPEAKER_01: Not that.
SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
SPEAKER_01: Sports.
SPEAKER_01: I didn't really wanna watch sports, so I called Kaylee around ten.
SPEAKER_01: He's a neighbor of ours.
SPEAKER_01: And I walked over there and called her again.
SPEAKER_01: Um, when I got there, I asked her for the door code.
SPEAKER_01: I don't remember what the door code was.
SPEAKER_01: I was drinking most of the day.
SPEAKER_01: And then I walked in the front door and up the stairs, and I saw I hide her, asked how she was, and then I heard Haley coming in through the through the back door with her puppy, Murph.
SPEAKER_01: And then the two of us walked upstairs, and she started getting ready.
SPEAKER_01: And then Maddie called, and she was on her way home from Signet High.
SPEAKER_01: And then that was probably five minutes after I got there, maybe ten.
SPEAKER_01: And then Maddie came home, and she gave me a shirt to borrow.
SPEAKER_01: And then Kaylee said that was the Uber driver was going to pick us up.
SPEAKER_01: And I think she texted him because I didn't she didn't take a phone call or anything.
SPEAKER_01: I went on.
SPEAKER_01: I was with her.
SPEAKER_01: And then we went downstairs to the living room, and the three of us sat on the couch and had a white glove.
SPEAKER_01: And then we got a text that arrived.
SPEAKER_01: Carrie got in the front seat.
SPEAKER_01: I got in the back left and then Maddie in the back right.
SPEAKER_01: And that link, Hailey kinda just took over the conversation, and me and Maddie were just giggling, being kinda drunk in the back.
SPEAKER_01: Then dropped us off at the corner club and said that he would be driving till around 03:00.
SPEAKER_01: And then me, Maggie, Kaylee walked into the corner club, and our friends were there.
SPEAKER_01: They all were there.
SPEAKER_01: Whatnot, everything was normal.
SPEAKER_01: And his friends was texting me saying he was gonna come with all of his buddies.
SPEAKER_01: We don't necessarily remember which of his buddies came.
SPEAKER_02: But About what time did you get to
SPEAKER_01: one o'clock?
SPEAKER_01: I would say eleven.
SPEAKER_01: Around eleven.
SPEAKER_01: But during the night, there was this guy I had a class with him and class with him.
SPEAKER_01: And he was talking to us, and then he started, like, just creeping out, staring at her, saying comments to her.
SPEAKER_01: She backed away, but he still kept sticking around.
SPEAKER_01: And then he came up to me, and he said to me something like, I need to get her goddamn phone number right now.
SPEAKER_01: He he, like he was kind of aggressive in
SPEAKER_02: a
SPEAKER_01: way.
SPEAKER_01: And I looked at him, and I said, I'm not getting into you.
SPEAKER_01: She's talking to someone Even though I don't believe that she actually is, I just wanted to say that so he would back off.
SPEAKER_01: But he didn't he was around us for a while at the club.
SPEAKER_01: And then we, yeah, we just kept finding our own business, and we went to the bathroom a couple times.
SPEAKER_01: And they left and went to John's Addie.
SPEAKER_00: When you say they, who are you talking about?
SPEAKER_01: Maddie and Kaylee, and I've heard that as well, which is unusual in my opinion, if it's true.
SPEAKER_01: I did personally see it.
SPEAKER_01: They apparently were asking to come with them, but then all of the convinced him to stay.
SPEAKER_01: Other than that, it was kind of a blur at night.
SPEAKER_00: When did you end up leaving the corner closed?
SPEAKER_01: I thought we'd be left a lot earlier, but the video time stamp is, like, 01:11, so I'm guessing 01:30.
SPEAKER_01: Mhmm.
SPEAKER_01: One very quickly after that.
SPEAKER_01: I think I made him chug his beer so we could leave.
SPEAKER_01: So probably around 01:15 then.
SPEAKER_00: And where did you guys go from the corner club?
SPEAKER_01: We went to Grub Truck.
SPEAKER_01: K.
SPEAKER_00: And you went directly to the Grub Truck?
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: We got four tacos and a nine piece.
SPEAKER_02: And then from the grub truck?
SPEAKER_01: To my house.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Not far.
SPEAKER_00: And then once you got home, what happened?
SPEAKER_01: I we set the food down, and my was in the night prior.
SPEAKER_01: And I walked into her room, turned the light on, saw there was two people I met.
SPEAKER_01: The other one was just her And I said there was, like, two people, but but she just got a.
SPEAKER_01: So I was like, what?
SPEAKER_01: And then, like, yelled at me to get out and turn the light off.
SPEAKER_01: And then me and ate our tacos and mac and cheese, and then pretty sure we just went to bed.
SPEAKER_00: Did you get up in the night for anything?
SPEAKER_00: Next time I
SPEAKER_01: woke up was, like, 08:00.
SPEAKER_01: And then I fell asleep.
SPEAKER_01: I wish it wasn't, but
SPEAKER_00: You said that it was a little odd that the girls were hanging out with and or leaving
SPEAKER_02: with a I
SPEAKER_00: don't know.
SPEAKER_00: Why was that odd?
SPEAKER_01: He isn't I would say he isn't the typical guy that they would hang around or we would hang around just because he's kind of weird.
SPEAKER_01: Just an odd guy in general.
SPEAKER_01: He smokes a lot of pot.
SPEAKER_01: He has a temper.
SPEAKER_01: He fights a lot.
SPEAKER_01: Just not our scene of choice, I guess.
SPEAKER_01: And he's always been around.
SPEAKER_01: But if they left for Johnson, I would be surprised and confused, I guess, because I feel like that's not the typical guy they would have chosen to hang out with or invited to hang out with.
SPEAKER_00: How do you do you do they know
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: He's a he's a and we called him picked about Nadia's boyfriend.
SPEAKER_01: Best friend We've all all of our four years have hung around the and he's always just been around.
SPEAKER_02: And what do you mean by
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry?
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00: Say it again.
SPEAKER_00: And you said Maddie's boyfriend was Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: And what's his name?
SPEAKER_00: Do you know how to spell his last name?
SPEAKER_00: And you said that Yes.
SPEAKER_00: And she is currently Maddie's boyfriend?
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: So other than not necessarily being their typical, like, go to choice for friends, was there anything else odd or concerning about them leaving with him?
SPEAKER_01: I personally didn't see it.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: I just heard about it, so I didn't see the interaction or anything.
SPEAKER_00: When did you hear that they left with
SPEAKER_01: The next day.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: While you were at the corner club, did you notice anything around the girls, anybody paying odd attention to them or or anything else that that stuck out to you?
SPEAKER_01: I would say just
SPEAKER_00: Mhmm.
SPEAKER_00: And he was I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00: He was asking for you said the
SPEAKER_01: number.
SPEAKER_01: But he was then just hanging around us, staring at us.
SPEAKER_01: And
SPEAKER_00: how do you know Do you know any of the victims?
SPEAKER_01: See, none of the victims.
SPEAKER_01: I I I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_01: But I don't believe that she I I'm I'm sure if you knew them or not.
SPEAKER_00: And where does where does
SPEAKER_01: She lives on King Street as well.
SPEAKER_00: You listed off a group of friends that were already at the corner club when you got there.
SPEAKER_00: I didn't jot down any of their names.
SPEAKER_00: Are they all sorority sisters with you?
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: Alrighty.
SPEAKER_00: Did any of them know or Yes.
SPEAKER_01: I would say they all know and then, again day the night that freaking night.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Are are you in the story?
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
SPEAKER_01: Kaylee and Maddie, I mentioned this to the police officer I talked to yesterday.
SPEAKER_01: They sent videos and stuff.
SPEAKER_01: I can't precisely remember, but we have a group chat, and they sent videos of the grub truck and whatnot that maybe you guys could get access to.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: They do you know what platform they were sending videos with?
SPEAKER_00: Snapchat.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: They're disappeared.
SPEAKER_01: Like, they're the timed ones.
SPEAKER_01: But I don't know.
SPEAKER_00: Was it, like, on your story or something?
SPEAKER_00: Or just to the individuals or the group?
SPEAKER_01: The group chat that we have.
SPEAKER_00: Have you heard I've I've heard oh, I guess we'll call the rumor at this point that Kaylee had a stalker.
SPEAKER_00: Have you heard anything about that?
SPEAKER_01: I have not heard anything about that.
SPEAKER_00: Kaylee didn't talk to you about a stalker at all?
SPEAKER_00: Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Have there been any issues with stalkers with any of your or any of the, I guess, other sororities as well?
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
SPEAKER_02: I
SPEAKER_01: heard have one.
SPEAKER_01: She was a But I am not close with her, so I didn't hear anything about that.
SPEAKER_01: Alright.
SPEAKER_01: But I didn't talk to her about it personally.
SPEAKER_00: Do you know if any of the do you know Xana's boyfriend?
SPEAKER_00: I forget his name.
SPEAKER_01: Ethan.
SPEAKER_01: Ethan?
SPEAKER_01: I I never talked to him.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: You know if any of the four victims had any issues with anybody?
SPEAKER_00: I've
SPEAKER_01: been trying to think about if they did, and I I never I feel like we were so well liked that I never saw any tension or anything.
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I hung out on a ton this semester.
SPEAKER_01: It's been mainly, like, if I do, it would be Kaylee and Maddie.
SPEAKER_01: I never never saw I never saw anything like that.
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: Like, drawn out arguments or even Caitlyn venting to you about being pissed off at somebody or Maddie venting to you or anybody?
SPEAKER_00: You weren't beeping with anybody?
SPEAKER_01: Say people are annoying, and I can't I can't please I can't say
SPEAKER_00: But nothing like a full fledged argument with somebody that was ongoing of No.
SPEAKER_00: What time you and I know you kinda gave an approximation of it.
SPEAKER_00: What time did you say they were sending out videos to the group at the grub truck?
SPEAKER_01: Like, around two?
SPEAKER_01: Around there?
SPEAKER_01: Around two.
SPEAKER_01: I bet I could look at the actual time on my phone.
SPEAKER_00: If you want to, you can.
SPEAKER_00: Just see.
SPEAKER_00: While you're looking that up, did you have any It doesn't say anymore.
SPEAKER_00: Like, odd or alarming communication, either text, snap, or whatever from any of the any of the victims?
SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: I guess you kinda mentioned that some of your recollections were a little bit fuzzy.
SPEAKER_02: Do you know about what
SPEAKER_01: I remember, like, probably the first hour, and then it gets bits and pieces, fuzzy, after that.
SPEAKER_00: I know I already asked that, but that kind of first hour that you were there, do you you recall anything that stood out to you as odd or and it doesn't even have to necessarily be surrounding the victims, but just anything at the corner club that seemed off from what your normal experience there is.
SPEAKER_00: Other than being aggressive, was there anybody else that kinda gave you the heebie jeebies?
SPEAKER_01: I wish there was.
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: You're
SPEAKER_01: a normal it felt it was just it was jam packed.
SPEAKER_01: Lots of people there, and it was a fun night after that.
SPEAKER_00: Did did anything happen just prior to the girls leaving that maybe stood out When I upsetting anybody or anybody upsetting
SPEAKER_01: them?
SPEAKER_01: Sorry?
SPEAKER_01: When I oh, just before they left?
SPEAKER_00: Before they left the the corner club.
SPEAKER_01: I I didn't say goodbye.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: What have you heard people say about this?
SPEAKER_01: Oh, there's so much.
SPEAKER_01: It's so upsetting.
SPEAKER_01: I've heard that did it to his boyfriend, ex boyfriend.
SPEAKER_01: They're confusing.
SPEAKER_01: I've heard that did it, which knowing them, it wouldn't make zero sense.
SPEAKER_01: They all were best friends.
SPEAKER_01: I've heard that did it.
SPEAKER_01: I've heard that just a random creep from the streets followed the home and did it.
SPEAKER_01: Just about every story out there.
SPEAKER_02: Do you know pretty well?
SPEAKER_02: Mhmm.
SPEAKER_02: So one of his is Mhmm.
SPEAKER_02: And he works at corner club.
SPEAKER_02: Was he working that night?
SPEAKER_02: Believe so.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
SPEAKER_02: So he
SPEAKER_01: I'm pretty sure that he was working, but also works there.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: He would be a good person to talk to.
SPEAKER_01: And And I'm not sure if she was working, but us
SPEAKER_02: Can you tell me those things again?
SPEAKER_02: And then
SPEAKER_00: If you had to just kind of shooting from the hip, had to come up with a reason why someone would have done this, what would you say?
SPEAKER_00: Jealousy.
SPEAKER_00: What do you mean by that?
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I just feel like they were so so well liked, pretty pretty, either jealousy of a boy, maybe where they rejected someone, or or someone just got angry that they couldn't they didn't fit in as well, maybe.
SPEAKER_01: I feel like since there's no, like, force of entry, maybe they would have known the known the door code.
SPEAKER_01: So it probably was someone in here.
SPEAKER_00: To kinda go along that thread, is there anything that you can think of that would maybe be a reason why somebody would wanna kill Maddie?
SPEAKER_01: Her in particular?
SPEAKER_01: Maybe her ex boyfriend, but that was a very long time ago.
SPEAKER_01: How long ago?
SPEAKER_00: Could you think of a reason somebody would wanna kill Kaylee?
SPEAKER_01: I I honestly I can't even believe that someone would even do that to her to begin with because she was literally the kindest person I've heard.
SPEAKER_01: But I guess jealousy.
SPEAKER_01: What
SPEAKER_00: about Xana?
SPEAKER_01: Jealousy?
SPEAKER_01: I I guess too.
SPEAKER_01: She was so popular and so fun.
SPEAKER_01: Well loved.
SPEAKER_00: Do you know because you said you didn't know Xana as well, or you just, you know
SPEAKER_01: I've hung out with her quite a bit, but I never it was always through social gatherings and never one on one.
SPEAKER_00: Do you know much about her her ex boyfriends or anything like that?
SPEAKER_02: I don't.
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
SPEAKER_02: Mhmm.
SPEAKER_00: Do you know any and and it sounds like you don't really know Ethan from but do you know any reason why anybody would wanna kill Ethan?
SPEAKER_01: I I didn't even know Ethan at all.
SPEAKER_00: Of all of the things that you've heard other people say, kinda gave me a little bit of a whistle, are there any of them that that you feel would be a little bit more likely or more accurate than others?
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I don't really know how they were found.
SPEAKER_01: I don't know that they were stabbed.
SPEAKER_01: I feel like it's it's someone we know, someone that just was getting so angry and wanted to see them gone or maybe again, the jealousy thing.
SPEAKER_01: It I feel like that happens with
SPEAKER_00: the murders.
SPEAKER_00: Can you think of anybody that fits into that hole?
SPEAKER_00: Anybody that's I I think you had mentioned kind of like a obviously, as a theory, you had mentioned maybe somebody growing more and more jealous about not fitting in.
SPEAKER_00: Is there anybody that that you know of that's been constantly rejected or trying to fit in and doesn't or anything like that?
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: Can't stop.
SPEAKER_00: Is there anybody that and I know it's it's a little difficult because it seems like everybody tried to gain as much distance as possible as quickly as possible.
SPEAKER_00: Is there anybody that you heard of that beat feet a little faster than everyone else to get out of town?
SPEAKER_01: I feel like me were, like, the first ones to bring up the idea of leaving because I was, like, shaking.
SPEAKER_01: And he asked if I would like to go home, and I said, yeah.
SPEAKER_01: But all of his were packing up too by the time he got home.
SPEAKER_01: So
SPEAKER_00: Is there anybody that kind of showed an odd interest in the girls after the fact or an odd interest in the house or being more being more nosy than you would kind of anticipate?
SPEAKER_01: All my family members.
SPEAKER_01: No.
SPEAKER_01: Not tonight.
SPEAKER_01: Not.
SPEAKER_01: But her Instagram comments are disgusting.
SPEAKER_02: What do you mean?
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: You'd said their Instagram comments are horrible.
SPEAKER_00: What does that mean?
SPEAKER_01: There's just a bunch of these random accounts who have little to no followers but following all of us, commenting, your next, thank god they're gone, I'm gonna do it again, stuff like that under their most recent post.
SPEAKER_02: You oh, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01: I feel like was a little odd just based on I said this in my previous statement, but just based on the fact how he would always drop his other rides for us and then gave us his personal cell phone number and he would keep airplane shooters in his car for us.
SPEAKER_01: I mean, it could just be him being nice, but he would sometimes not even charge us, which if you're picking people up at 12:00, you don't necessarily wanna be doing that for free.
SPEAKER_01: I said that other police officer that called me.
SPEAKER_01: But I that's a little out of the ordinary.
SPEAKER_01: I didn't think anything of it before until recently.
SPEAKER_01: And my boyfriend, he was telling me, he was like, don't you think that's, like, a little weird how he used the word obsessed, but I don't know if it's an obsession, but how obsessed how he picks you guys up immediately, texts you guys.
SPEAKER_01: Well, he didn't text me any part.
SPEAKER_02: Do you know his last name by any chance?
SPEAKER_02: I don't know
SPEAKER_01: his last name, but I have his phone number.
SPEAKER_01: And I'm assuming is the one who gave them a ride home that night.
SPEAKER_00: You said he paid particular attention to the a fees.
SPEAKER_00: Mhmm.
SPEAKER_00: Were there any other sororities that he would give free rides to, or was it specifically that one?
SPEAKER_01: I feel like it was just us.
SPEAKER_01: It was my group of friends.
SPEAKER_01: It started with my two friends that graduated.
SPEAKER_01: They originally met him through Uber when you Levi started giving out free rides, and then they got his phone number, and then from then on, he would always pick them up and drop them off to his old rides.
SPEAKER_01: He he drove to Lewiston one time for them, and they weren't even there.
SPEAKER_01: And then they passed his phone number down to all of us, and he did the same
