SPEAKER_00: And where are living at now?
SPEAKER_01: I am at the fraternity here, but I also live.
SPEAKER_00: Gotcha.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: And I'm not a fraternity guy?
SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
SPEAKER_00: What year are you?
SPEAKER_00: Are you?
SPEAKER_00: What are you studying?

SPEAKER_00: Got plans for summer?
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
SPEAKER_00: We like, here in town or down?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Good, sir.
SPEAKER_00: That'd be good, man.
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
SPEAKER_00: So we'll just get into this, man.
SPEAKER_00: First, I'd like to ask you kinda what the background is, how you knew Maddie, Kaylee, Ethan, and Xana.
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: And just kinda just whatever you have to tell me on that front.
SPEAKER_01: We would always just hang out, like, all the time since I was a freshman, they'd come over to the house, more like Xana.
SPEAKER_01: That was before she was dating Ethan and she would just hang out with us all the time.
SPEAKER_01: K.
SPEAKER_01: Last year I was starting to hang out with one of the roommates, Bethany, all the time.
SPEAKER_01: So I would go there all the time and hang out at the house.
SPEAKER_00: K.
SPEAKER_01: That's pretty much it.
SPEAKER_01: Pretty much it, Would
SPEAKER_00: you go, like, if they had get togethers or parties and stuff on the weekends, would you go over there?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Of course.
SPEAKER_00: So you said you started hanging out with Bethany that year, that 2022 would have been?
SPEAKER_00: K.
SPEAKER_00: Did you have relationship with her, girlfriend, seeing each other, anything like that?
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: I just kinda seen each other.
SPEAKER_01: Seeing each other?
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: How's she doing?
SPEAKER_00: Have you talked to her recently?
SPEAKER_01: She's good.
SPEAKER_01: She's been where is it?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
SPEAKER_01: She lives there.
SPEAKER_00: Doing alright, though, all things considered?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Good.
SPEAKER_01: Doing good.
SPEAKER_01: That's good to hear.
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
SPEAKER_00: So, basically, just kinda you're so you guys are you're just in that circle of friends.
SPEAKER_00: Right?
SPEAKER_00: Kinda Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Is that
SPEAKER_00: fair fair to say?
SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
SPEAKER_00: Do you know of anything that anybody ever mentioned about people outside the house at 11:22?
SPEAKER_00: Any strange occurrences?
SPEAKER_00: Anything like that that you can think of?
SPEAKER_01: Not at all.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: I have no idea.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Alright.
SPEAKER_00: When when they would have get togethers there, about how many people do you think would show up usually?
SPEAKER_01: It wasn't a big place.
SPEAKER_01: Maybe, like, 20 people max.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: And that's, like, pushing it probably.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: For that house.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: Was it pretty, like like, pretty tight as far as you guys knowing who was coming and going?
SPEAKER_00: Or were people kinda coming and going freely?
SPEAKER_00: How did that work?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Pretty much people coming and going freely.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: If someone came in there that you guys didn't know, would you do you think someone would've picked up on it?
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: Think so?
SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: So best as you can remember, right, granted it's over a year well over a year now since this all took place, but that night prior, so it would've been Saturday night.
SPEAKER_00: Can you just kinda talk me through your timeline?
SPEAKER_00: Like, did you see him that night?
SPEAKER_00: Just best you can remember what happened that Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: Night leading up to It
SPEAKER_01: was a game day.
SPEAKER_01: So I was drinking water.
SPEAKER_01: So that always plays a factor in my memory.
SPEAKER_01: Fair enough.
SPEAKER_01: That day, I know we went over there in the morning, probably ten.
SPEAKER_00: And that's to 11:22?
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
SPEAKER_00: To the house?
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Yes.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: That was like a brunch, like, meet up.
SPEAKER_01: And then that was the last time I was at the house and then I went over to the whites, we all did Good.
SPEAKER_01: To hang out at a sorority, like, out of house place.
SPEAKER_01: Then pretty sure we just went to the game and then went home back to the fraternity.
SPEAKER_01: K.
SPEAKER_01: My fraternity of his.
SPEAKER_00: So the Whites which sorority was it that was throwing the party at the Whites again?
SPEAKER_01: Allen Fee.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Walt Kidd was it.
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: K.
SPEAKER_00: So you went to the Whites and then you said you went to the game?
SPEAKER_00: Yep.
SPEAKER_00: K.
SPEAKER_00: Were you there early, late, like, show up halftime?
SPEAKER_00: Do you remember?
SPEAKER_01: Pretty sure I went, like, halftime.
SPEAKER_01: Didn't even go into the game.
SPEAKER_01: Went to the tailgate.
SPEAKER_01: K.
SPEAKER_01: I've been out there for quite a while because they're always partying there.
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00: And were any of the were any of them there with you at the tailgate?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Who all was there with you?
SPEAKER_01: I honestly don't even remember.
SPEAKER_01: I think we all went.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: So then do you remember what time you left or on or abouts?
SPEAKER_01: I honestly am not clear.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: That's fine, man.
SPEAKER_01: Did
SPEAKER_00: you stay the whole time?
SPEAKER_00: Like, was the game letting out, or did you guys leave before the game let out?
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: K.
SPEAKER_00: It's all good, man.
SPEAKER_00: I get it.
SPEAKER_01: That was a long time ago too.
SPEAKER_01: My memory's nothing good.
SPEAKER_00: And so once you guys left the game, do you remember anything about what their plans were, where they were going, anything like that?
SPEAKER_00: Mm-mm.
SPEAKER_00: No?
SPEAKER_01: I know they went to the club, think.
SPEAKER_01: K.
SPEAKER_01: Kaylee and Matic did.
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
SPEAKER_00: And then you left the game and went where?
SPEAKER_01: Just back to And
SPEAKER_00: kinda talk me through the rest of your evening that night.
SPEAKER_00: Do remember anything about it?
SPEAKER_01: Pretty sure we just went back, hung out, ate food.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Went to bed.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Didn't didn't leave that you remember?
SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00: No.
SPEAKER_00: And then when did you next morning, when did you hear about what happened?
SPEAKER_01: One of my fraternity brothers, like, barged into my room because I would, like, stay the night at the at Bethany's k.
SPEAKER_01: Quite a bit.
SPEAKER_01: So they saw the vandal alert that the homicides happened on King Street.
SPEAKER_01: So then one of my fraternity brothers came into my room making sure all there.
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
SPEAKER_01: Woke me up.
SPEAKER_01: Really hungover.
SPEAKER_01: Didn't even know what was going on.
SPEAKER_01: But we had no clue.
SPEAKER_01: So we were just like hanging out in one room altogether.
SPEAKER_01: And then one of my one of our buddies came in and told us a little bit about it.
SPEAKER_01: Probably like 12.
SPEAKER_01: K.
SPEAKER_00: So how often do you do you think you stay the night at the at Bethany's?
SPEAKER_01: I'd say no.
SPEAKER_01: We'd stay, like, three times.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: Gotcha.
SPEAKER_00: And she never said anything about strange occurrences or anything going on?
SPEAKER_01: Not at all.
SPEAKER_01: No?
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Anything else you remember about that day, particularly the day after?
SPEAKER_00: Like, once you guys found out?
SPEAKER_01: No.
SPEAKER_01: We were kinda just all in shock just sitting there Mhmm.
SPEAKER_01: With each other.
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: I think Mike's kinda like most everybody else was.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: And I think we would just all went home the next day.
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
SPEAKER_00: Did you have any communication with Bethany after the match?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: A little bit.
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Did she Making sure she's good.
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: Did she tell you anything after, like, about what happened or anything like that?
SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_01: No?
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_01: I didn't really wanna talk to her about it, figure it out.
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
SPEAKER_01: No.
SPEAKER_00: I blame you.
SPEAKER_00: Is there anything else you can think of that I might need to know or would wanna know to include in our conversation here?
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Alright.
SPEAKER_00: So just to make sure I got it all clear.
SPEAKER_00: So you hung out with Zayah pretty much or pretty frequently freshman year.
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: And then sophomore year, you started seeing Bethany casually.
SPEAKER_00: Is that a fair fair Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: Characterization?
SPEAKER_00: Stayed the night three times maybe.
SPEAKER_00: No strange occurrences.
SPEAKER_00: 20 people would show up ish at parties and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_00: Um, but you guys you think you would know if somebody wasn't welcome showed up.
SPEAKER_00: So then that Saturday, you said you guys went to eleven twenty two for brunch.
SPEAKER_00: Do you know what time that would have been?
SPEAKER_00: Like, you're talking like mid morning or late morning?
SPEAKER_00: Do have any idea?
SPEAKER_01: Mid morning.
SPEAKER_00: Mid morning.
SPEAKER_00: So ten nine, ten is what I have?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_01: Wasn't much of a brunch or just like meet up and drink a little before we went over to the Whites.
SPEAKER_01: Pregame?
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: So then you went to the Whites.
SPEAKER_00: Do you remember what apartment that was or which side of the Whites it And you were all at that one?
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
SPEAKER_00: K.
SPEAKER_00: Then you went to the game, did some tailgating halftime to unknown win.
SPEAKER_00: And then once you left, said you just went straight back to the fraternity and ate some food and went to sleep.
SPEAKER_00: Right?
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
SPEAKER_00: Cool, man.
SPEAKER_00: I don't have much else for you.
SPEAKER_00: If you think of something, you have my cell phone number, but there's my card.
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
