Results from presumptive chemical tests for the presence of blood were negative on Items 100, 105, 106, and 107. Item 99 was microscopically examined and determined to be a hair with a root which is likely insufficient for nuclear DNA analysis. Item 108 was examined only for the purpose of sampling for DNA analysis. Trace evidence was collected from Item 105, but was not examined at this time. If DNA testing is desired on Items 99, 104.1, and stains A through I from Item 102, documentation authorizing consumption of these items must be submitted. Please contact the laboratory regarding the analysis request. DISPOSITION OF EVIDENCE: A portion of Items 72 through 78, 101.1, 103.1, 103.2, 103.3, and 108 have been forwarded for DNA analysis. Results will follow in a separate report. Items 99, 102, and 104.1 have been returned to the main evidence vault pending authorization to consume. If authorization has not been received after 60 days, these items may be returned to the submitting agency without analysis. Items 100, 104, 105, 106, and 107 have been returned to the main laboratory evidence vault for return to the submitting agency. All remaining items have been returned to the main laboratory evidence vault pending DNA analysis.
