Ethan Chapin was one of the four victims in the 1122 King Road homicides, whose deaths led to the arrest and murder charges against Bryan C. Kohberger. Before the events of November 13, 2022, Chapin was a student and a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He was the partner of Xana Kernodle and frequently spent time at the residence. Sources also indicate that he owned a red 2011 Jeep Wrangler. On the night of November 12, 2022, he communicated through text conversations and calls with various acquaintances and Kernodle.
