SPEAKER_02: Is there, like, traditionally a house that your little sisters come out of? SPEAKER_02: Or SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Go all over? SPEAKER_00: So my again, it's, like, it's just constantly, like, like, passed out and stuff. SPEAKER_00: So, like, my big told me, like, okay. SPEAKER_00: So, like, hang out with, like, a few different houses. SPEAKER_00: Like, we hang out with, like, the the the and then so I had one from each of those houses. SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay. SPEAKER_00: And so, like, when we do, like, fam nights and stuff, that's what we call them. SPEAKER_00: They would come as part it's like an invite from me. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: And everyone else would invite their littles and stuff, and it would be, like, just those people. SPEAKER_02: Gotcha. SPEAKER_00: And then, like so, like, this year, my littles now have littles, and then, you know, their littles will have littles. SPEAKER_00: And, you it's just like that's, like, who comes and stuff. SPEAKER_00: And then I move on, and then they have the baes and Gotcha. SPEAKER_00: Gotcha. SPEAKER_00: So it just, like, passes down and stuff. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: I well, we're in a transitory period now, so kinda like the responsibilities are done. SPEAKER_00: But Okay. SPEAKER_00: Main yeah. SPEAKER_00: I was still, like I still have to, like, you know, do some stuff. SPEAKER_02: Okay. SPEAKER_02: What's a transitory period? SPEAKER_00: So, like, we we've had our elections and stuff. SPEAKER_00: So, like, I'm in transition period. SPEAKER_00: My my bad. SPEAKER_00: That's alright. SPEAKER_00: But I'm I'm just kinda, like, helping the new guy get up to, like, speed and stuff, like, send some of the documents you'll need, like, kinda, like, planning some notes that I took on the position and stuff and helping him run his first couple events. SPEAKER_00: And SPEAKER_02: Gotcha. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: So But even if you're transitioning out of that role, it sounds to me what limited stuff I know about the Greek system Mhmm. SPEAKER_02: That you're probably still a pretty respected elder, if you will. SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: It's like, dude, there's Yeah. SPEAKER_02: You what I mean? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Like, I got back Thursday, saw the house. SPEAKER_00: I was like, alright. SPEAKER_00: See you guys Friday. SPEAKER_00: Like, we're gonna do some chores. SPEAKER_00: Like, first thing I did, like, Friday was round up, like, all, like, thunder class and essentially and then they grabbed the upperclassmen. SPEAKER_00: Was like, upperclassmen, like, here are the projects. SPEAKER_00: Like, you're gonna take them over here, take these guys over here. SPEAKER_00: Right. SPEAKER_00: Pretty much supervise and help out SPEAKER_02: and Okay. SPEAKER_00: Show them how to do what. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_02: Okay. SPEAKER_02: So SPEAKER_01: you got SPEAKER_02: you still got the high regard. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: That sound like A little bit. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: A little bit longer, like two weeks. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Gotcha. SPEAKER_01: And during your during your tenure in that spot, are you I mean, you know more about, like, all the upperclassmen in there, or are you pretty studied up on everybody, like, pledges and everything and the upperclassmen that are coming in like you know? SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: So who and what they're about and what they're doing? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: So I last year, I was So I got to know all the sophomores, like, now sophomores, but last year's freshman very well. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: And I've I've served, like I'd say I know everyone pretty well. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: You gotta get a read on everybody. SPEAKER_02: Right on. SPEAKER_01: You have a pretty, like, open group when when you're in that line, or do you guys kinda find yourselves in, like, almost little clicks where you got your go to buddies that you're gonna hang out with? SPEAKER_00: We get, like, a little clicky in our house as far as, like, pledge classes go. SPEAKER_00: Mhmm. SPEAKER_00: But a lot of stuff, like so, like, we knew, like, a sorority was having a party at, like, an out of house or something. SPEAKER_00: We would all know about it. SPEAKER_00: Someone would just throw in the chat and say, hey. SPEAKER_00: Like, if you guys want, like, we can all be here tonight. SPEAKER_00: And it's like, most of the time, we'll all go do that or, like, the older members will, like, go to the corner club or something. SPEAKER_00: Like, we'll we'll do something different. SPEAKER_00: But for the most part, like, we we roll together, but, like, day to day stuff, like, you'll you'll go to Walmart with certain you know? SPEAKER_00: Alright. SPEAKER_02: Gotcha. SPEAKER_02: Okay. SPEAKER_02: So back to SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Back to rehashing that the that interview. SPEAKER_00: So going through SPEAKER_01: your relationship with the other other people. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Maddie, I've had classes with her since, like, my freshman year. SPEAKER_00: She's been dating for, like, for a while. SPEAKER_00: I can't really put a finger on how long, but I met her through him. SPEAKER_00: And I also met Xana through And then I met Kaylee through Maddie and the other girls. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_02: And it was Jake. SPEAKER_02: Is he adult? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: So SPEAKER_02: And then Gotcha. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: So he actually told me, like, my first day, sophomore year, like, hey. SPEAKER_00: Anna. SPEAKER_00: You're gonna love her. SPEAKER_00: She's awesome. SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh. SPEAKER_00: And then, yeah, just kinda introduced you to his fam and stuff. SPEAKER_00: And I was like, alright. SPEAKER_00: Like, like, show me what was what and said. SPEAKER_00: He's like, one day, just give me your fam and stuff. SPEAKER_01: You got SPEAKER_00: to run it. SPEAKER_00: And so SPEAKER_02: And now here you are. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Now I think you'd able make it. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: That's awesome. SPEAKER_01: Who's who's taking over for you? SPEAKER_00: So Okay. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: We haven't gotten to do, like, a fan night or anything this year. SPEAKER_00: We're gonna do a Friendsgiving at at the house where everything happened, so probably canceled. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: You know, probably not gonna do that, but maybe, like, a white elephant exchange in January or something. SPEAKER_00: Alright. SPEAKER_00: Kick off the new semester. SPEAKER_00: He's in your house. SPEAKER_00: Right? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: I know SPEAKER_01: him pretty well. SPEAKER_01: What what level is he or what grade is he? SPEAKER_00: So he's at 50 or is he? SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: So he's getting ready to SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: So he's he's done that semester, actually. SPEAKER_00: So he's got two weeks left. SPEAKER_00: Alright. SPEAKER_00: Then SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: We got a chance to sit down and talk with him a little bit just to kinda have about his activities and about what was going on with the corner club that night. SPEAKER_01: You know? SPEAKER_01: And he was he was great to talk to. SPEAKER_01: He did mention to us that you had a relationship with Kaylee a little bit more. SPEAKER_01: Can you explain that a little bit? SPEAKER_00: Probably, like, the month before anything happened, we had started talking a little bit. SPEAKER_00: She'd come back with me from, like, the corner club, like, maybe, like, like, once a week or something. SPEAKER_00: Like, she'd spend the night over at the fraternity and stuff. SPEAKER_00: And, yeah, we we try to, like, stop talking towards, like, the like, a week before it all happened, like, stop responding to, like, my texts and stuff. SPEAKER_00: Mhmm. SPEAKER_00: And we got a talk on that Saturday at the AFI kind of pregame at the apartment. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Started talking. SPEAKER_00: Like, she, like, apologized and stuff and Okay. SPEAKER_00: Wanted to, like, go into the game with me. SPEAKER_00: But I went to a sorority formal that night instead. SPEAKER_01: Gotcha. SPEAKER_01: Gotcha. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Saturday, she texted me, wanted to wanted to hang out, like, around midnight. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: And I just I didn't respond to the text because I was, like, I was I was already formal with another girl. SPEAKER_00: So Who SPEAKER_01: who was that you're with? SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Do you know her phone number? SPEAKER_00: I do not. SPEAKER_00: No. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_01: So she was texting you, and you didn't respond that night? SPEAKER_01: No. SPEAKER_01: Do you know did you tell that to the other guys that you interviewed with? SPEAKER_01: No. SPEAKER_01: I didn't SPEAKER_00: I didn't really bring that up. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Is SPEAKER_01: there a reason reason why? SPEAKER_00: Not really. SPEAKER_00: Honestly, I I didn't feel like really touching base on that. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know. SPEAKER_00: Like, relevancy wise, like SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_00: I didn't really see it to be too relevant. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Because, you know, I know she was, like, pretty drunk on Saturday. SPEAKER_00: She was probably texting a few different people and stuff, wanting to hang out and Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Whatnot. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_01: We'd like to see the text messages if that's okay. SPEAKER_00: They're probably on Snapchat. SPEAKER_00: It was? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: So they they delete after, like, twenty four hours. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Yep. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: So How do you communicate with Xana? SPEAKER_01: Is it the same way? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Snapchat. SPEAKER_01: Snapchat? SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Do you ever do you ever text them, like, regular SMS messages or phone calls? SPEAKER_01: Like, you've called them on the phone too? SPEAKER_00: No. SPEAKER_00: Not really. SPEAKER_00: Mainly mainly Snapchat because, like, we get situated as, like, freshmen and stuff, we make huge, like, 40 person group chats on Snapchat and stuff with all the other sororities and stuff so that oh, it's like open communication between everyone. SPEAKER_00: Like, you can kinda throw in, like, hey. SPEAKER_00: Who has this test and stuff? SPEAKER_00: They wanna study. SPEAKER_00: Okay. SPEAKER_00: It's like I don't know. SPEAKER_00: My my primary form communication, especially on campus, is through Snapchat. SPEAKER_00: Is it? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: K. SPEAKER_01: Is that does that seem I mean, guess, kind of a rhetorical question, but is it pretty widely used across Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Campus? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: It's it's pretty widely used. SPEAKER_00: Till I do, like, pretty close to someone, you start, like, you know, texting them, that way and stuff. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Calling them. SPEAKER_00: So I maybe, like, called a few times, like, on our phone phone. SPEAKER_00: But Mhmm. SPEAKER_00: We, like, never had, like, text conversations and stuff. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: Did you you mentioned another name to the FBI agents. SPEAKER_01: Do you remember who it was? SPEAKER_01: Like, somebody that you were like, hey. SPEAKER_01: You know, maybe you need to talk to this person. SPEAKER_01: Show us Is he Oh, yeah. SPEAKER_01: What's his first name? SPEAKER_00: Jack. SPEAKER_00: Jack? SPEAKER_00: Guy that was, like, going viral on mainstream media, the Groove Truck video. SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay. SPEAKER_01: That's who that is. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Gotcha. SPEAKER_01: So is that is that the reason why you said, hey. SPEAKER_01: Talk to him? SPEAKER_01: Or what SPEAKER_00: was that? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Definitely. SPEAKER_00: I was like, you know, that's definitely something very interesting. SPEAKER_00: Maybe, like, you know, she picked him up or something. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Like, he's an Uber driver. SPEAKER_01: Is he adult? SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: He he just doesn't, like, live in the house anymore. SPEAKER_01: Oh, where does he live? SPEAKER_00: He lives Okay. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Does he live by himself? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: It's a it's a one man. SPEAKER_01: Is it? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Alright. SPEAKER_01: Is that pretty typical, like, for an upperclassman to get there? SPEAKER_01: And is he an upperclassman? SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: So he pretty typical maybe to go out and do a one man like that or hang with maybe another guy, or is it just availability? SPEAKER_01: Availability, really. SPEAKER_00: I know, like, my pledge class as seniors, we moved back into the house. SPEAKER_00: I have never, like, lived out of the house. SPEAKER_00: So and that's why I house to live in. SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay. SPEAKER_00: So me and our we kinda recruited guys that moved out to come in, And would have had, like, a really low room pick as far as, like, our, like, point system goes of, like like, helping out, like, positions you've held, the GPA, like, all that. SPEAKER_00: So he moved out because he didn't want a bathroom at the house. SPEAKER_00: And given that we were all living in, he was like, okay. SPEAKER_00: Well, I don't really have any other options as far as people I would wanna live with. SPEAKER_00: So he went one man. SPEAKER_00: Yep. SPEAKER_01: Anybody any other names you mentioned to to those guys to kinda go talk to that might have some information? SPEAKER_00: No. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: No. SPEAKER_00: I was out of the picture at the the formal on Saturday, so I don't really know what the layout of Saturday, like, who's at the club or any of that stuff. SPEAKER_00: Party. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: But you you know the layout. SPEAKER_01: I mean, with with your position, I would assume you know the layout of social gatherings and, like, who's hanging out with who eat before Saturday. SPEAKER_01: Right? SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: I mean, you seem like you're pretty in the know. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Like, I I kinda gotta know where the guys are gonna be. SPEAKER_00: Mhmm. SPEAKER_00: There's usually, like, a few spots where they'll rotate around on Saturday or, like, like, on a day like Saturday, I guess. SPEAKER_00: It really just depends on, like, who's throwing parties, like, and where our guys are comfortable going. SPEAKER_00: Alright. SPEAKER_00: So Who so who are you SPEAKER_01: guys comfortable going over to SPEAKER_00: that house at 11:22? SPEAKER_00: 11:22AM? SPEAKER_01: No. SPEAKER_01: No. SPEAKER_01: No. SPEAKER_01: The address over there on the where the the call took place. SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's yeah. SPEAKER_00: Over that house? SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: That's in, yeah, in Santa's house. SPEAKER_00: Of course. SPEAKER_00: So Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Usually, she'll send a text to somebody, and that text is, like, pretty much copy and paste it into our, like, house group chat. SPEAKER_00: And then that you know, it's just like an invite to everybody. SPEAKER_00: Like or she'll she'll do, like, closer things with, like, her roommates and stuff. SPEAKER_00: Mhmm. SPEAKER_00: Maybe invite a couple people individually. SPEAKER_00: But, yeah, we're we're comfortable going over there. SPEAKER_00: Going SPEAKER_01: over there? SPEAKER_02: Yeah. SPEAKER_02: Alright. SPEAKER_01: Everybody from your house comfortable going over there, or is it are you, like, keeping some people away? SPEAKER_00: I don't know. SPEAKER_00: I I don't really know everybody's relationships with those girls, but Okay. SPEAKER_00: I know that as a house, like, we're comfortable going over there. SPEAKER_00: And I don't know. SPEAKER_00: If I feel like if there was someone that wasn't allowed over there, I'd be made made aware of that, and I made that kinda clear. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_00: Like, they don't wanna see you there Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Or anything, but that hasn't been the case. SPEAKER_01: Okay. SPEAKER_01: Mhmm. SPEAKER_01: What did you know about Maddie's relationships with people? SPEAKER_00: Oh, Matt Maddie is excellent. SPEAKER_00: Sat with her in the class. SPEAKER_00: I had with her, always worked with her on assignments and stuff. SPEAKER_00: I know, like, she and Jake, you know, were pretty enamored with each other, and, you know, they had a pretty good relationship. SPEAKER_00: But I don't I don't really know. SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know. SPEAKER_00: Is that yeah. SPEAKER_00: Pretty much what I have. SPEAKER_00: Like, she's, you know, good friend to Mhmm. SPEAKER_00: Friends. SPEAKER_01: You hear you hear rumors or anything? SPEAKER_01: I'm like, hey. SPEAKER_01: This person hooked up that person. SPEAKER_01: No. SPEAKER_01: No way, man. SPEAKER_01: That's not true. SPEAKER_00: No. SPEAKER_00: Definitely not me either because being in the gym, like, just being close with like, I'm pretty sure, like, she'd try to keep that far away from me as well because how I could I could tell and stuff. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: Kinda burst that bubble. SPEAKER_00: Yeah. SPEAKER_00: So Okay. SPEAKER_00: I think, yeah, that'd a bad person to go to for that. SPEAKER_01: Yeah. SPEAKER_01: What about SPEAKER_00: So K. SPEAKER_00: And then do you need those names? SPEAKER_00: Sure. SPEAKER_00: I believe is one of them. SPEAKER_00: And then one of our freshmen.
